A Journey of Excellence

Vineyard landscape near Château Alto Cormeil in Saint-Émilion, France with rolling green vines and countryside buildings

Our History

We are a Franco-Argentine family, born between two great wine regions: Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, and Anjou in the Loire Valley.

After more than twenty years in Argentina, we returned to France with the desire to create a place that reflects who we are. A warm, welcoming place rooted in the vineyards, where the values that have always guided us come together: a love of wine, fine materials, taking our time, and hospitality.

For over thirty years, the world of wine has been part of our daily lives. It has taught us patience, precision, respect for the seasons, and a deep connection to places with a soul.

Château Alto Cormeil was born from this family history. A home designed to welcome guests in a different way—with sincerity, warmth, and care.

Our home

A typical Gironde residence, this former wine-grower’s mansion was built between the late 18th and 19th centuries. Constructed from the region’s light-colored stone, it embodies the understated elegance and balance characteristic of the grand estates of the Bordeaux vineyards.

Once at the heart of wine-making operations, the house was part of a vibrant complex that included the vat room, wine cellar, and surrounding vineyards. Even today, this history remains evident in the architecture of the place, through the fine materials, the high ceilings, and the old winemaking structures, sensitively reinterpreted.

Our guesthouse features five rooms. Each bears a name associated with wine, like a vintage. The common areas have been designed in the style of a family home: two living rooms, a kitchenette for breakfast, and a small fitness room.

Surrounded by a wooded park of nearly 4,000 m², the property offers a peaceful and unspoiled setting, where the garden blends naturally with the surrounding vineyard landscapes. A lush green setting that invites you to slow down, breathe, and fully savor the gentle way of life unique to Saint-Émilion.
