Around the House



Saint-Émilion is more than just a wine appellation. Just a few minutes from the house, the town reveals a unique medieval heritage. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it tells the story of over a thousand years of history in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region.
We’ll point you toward the châteaux worth visiting, the restaurants worth a detour, and the quiet paths offering the most beautiful views. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but a personal selection—that of a family who lives here year-round.
Bordeaux is forty-five minutes away. Arcachon Bay is an hour and a half away. The Périgord is an hour away. 

Saint-Émilion



Just 5 minutes from the house, Saint-Émilion reveals a unique medieval heritage. Cobbled streets, ramparts, cloisters, and monuments carved directly from the stone. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town tells the story of over a thousand years of history in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region.

Wines & Châteaux



The vineyards of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, located near the house, offer plenty of opportunities for visits. Châteaux, wine cellars, tastings, and walks through the vineyards. A wonderful way to delve into the history of wine, the work of the winemakers, and the richness of the local terroir.

BORDEAUX



Located about 45 minutes from our home, Bordeaux is a must-see destination during your stay. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it charms visitors with its elegant architecture, lively riverbanks, historic squares, and vibrant lifestyle.


You can stroll along the Garonne River, admire the Place de la Bourse and the famous Miroir d’eau, wander through the narrow streets of the historic center, or explore the city’s shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Bordeaux is also a wine capital, featuring the Cité du Vin, its wine bars, and numerous gourmet spots. With its rich heritage, fine dining, and laid-back lifestyle, the city offers a wonderful day trip.

Périgord



From the comfort of your home, you can explore the Périgord through its villages, markets, and cuisine. Truffles, foie gras, walnuts, Bergerac wines, local producers, and regional restaurants make this an unmissable culinary getaway in southwestern France.

Arcachon



From the house, Arcachon Bay offers a breathtaking view of the ocean, beaches, and oyster-farming villages. Here you’ll discover the Dune du Pilat, fishermen’s huts, long stretches of sand, and ports where you can enjoy oysters overlooking the bay. An ideal destination to enjoy the sea air, coastal landscapes, and the Southwestern way of life.
